Eric gets to play outside almost everyday with a couple of boys that live close by. Maybe I'm missing something, but I figured that was the extent of Eric's play dates now that he is a big boy. I must be wrong. Let me rephrase that correctly from Eric's point of view, "I'm totally wrong!" I am a parent and of course we are never right. I wish I could remember all I knew when I was 8, all the extra knowledge I have learned since is useless! Who doesn't want to live in a world run by 8 year olds?!? Sign me up...
I tried to make a peace offering. I told Eric I would call his neighborhood friends moms and and set a time for him to play with their sons. Once again, he wasn't amused. We go to the skate park on occasion, no need for reservations there. Am I missing something? I thought play dates were for little people who need to be fully supervised at all times. Maybe I'm taking this all wrong, he really wants to hang out with me more! That must be it.
Please help this befuddled mother, she obviously doesn't have a clue!

Parker was 8 when I met Aaron. All I will say is that it got worse before it got better. Counseling Katherine ... counseling. : )
