The hobo

The tooth is out! Eric is not thrilled the way it came out, but he is glad that his mouth no longer hurts. He started off the morning in front of the bathroom mirror again. I was beginning to wonder if he forgot where the TV is located. We went the rounds with pulling it gently so it wouldn't hurt or bleed when it came out. Justin was on the phone, so he missed out on the tooth pulling fun.

About two hours into the event I suggested we try dental floss again. Eric had talked to my mom and she said that it was easy and painless, she had used this method on Megan and she didn't cry. Eric is very competitive and was not about to let Megan beat him at anything. We got the dental floss and tied the tooth up. Eric had a complete meltdown! We needed to find another way, this was going to hurt to much. He wanted to keep the tooth. I heard it all!

I was calming him down and telling him that we should give it a try. He freaked out more and was holding onto the dental floss so I couldn't pull on it. I got him to let go and told him to breath. That was as much time as I needed, the tooth was out! He was fine until he saw the tooth and the tears started. Then he cried out for his popcicle to help with the pain. I tried taking pictures:

K: Eric look up so I can get a picture.
E: No, I don't want pictures when I look like this.
K: When you look like what? Wipe off your face, you look fine.
E: I look like a hobo!
K: (ROFL) A hobo!?! Do you even know what a hobo is?
E: A hobo is someone who can't afford cable.

This kid is to much! I don't know many hobos with TV's, let alone cable. I'm just glad the tooth is out. Three down, too many to go. I hope it gets better as he gets older, but I have a feeling that it won't. I now know why my mom always pulled our teeth so quickly... it was alot less painful for her :) I would have done it yesterday had I realized how much quicker this would have been. Lesson learned!
