Eric and I worked very hard all day making a cake and buying Justin his presents. While we were at the store getting the cake mix and frosting Eric insisted on getting his birthday cake stuff too. He didn't want the store to run out between now and December. I tried explaining that the store constantly gets restocked, but he wasn't convinced. They had some bat cake decorations, which they wouldn't have in December, so Eric was thrilled!
Eric isn't very good at keeping secrets. He couldn't wait to tell Justin what we got him for his birthday. I had to keep reminding him that it's not fun to know what you are getting before you open you presents, so he couldn't tell Justin. He did slip a little, but not enough that Justin heard or knew what he was talking about.
Justin is such a good cook that we let him make his own dinner! I figured that was a present in itself, otherwise he would be complaining about what I made or how he could have made it better. Then he would have been wearing his not so yummy dinner. I'm much better at dishes, we both agree on that :)
After Justin opened his presents Eric was happy to model. What a kook! It was a good evening, even Gunner got to enjoy it.
