Kitty chaser

Rita and Roxy better watch out, Lindsay is in town!  She has been hot on Rita's trail all morning.  Roxy isn't fond of people, let alone small people, so she has been doing a good job of hiding out and not being seen.  It didn't help that we are sleeping in the room that used to store the  litter box.  Blondie is on a mission this week, help us all!

The day started with Lindsay befriending Rita.  She was talking to her, petting her and trying to lay with her.  Rita started feeling smothered and moved to the bed.  Little did Rita know that Lindsay was not going to be shaken off that easily, she was going to follow her onto the bed and anywhere else she went.  According to Lindsay they snuggled, she read Rita a book and was trying to take a nap with her.  I think she would have played with the cat all day if Rita would have let her.

Rita had enough.  I had to hold my little cat chaser long enough for Rita to run for freedom.  I was hoping she would find a good hiding spot and stay there for a little while.  She must have enjoyed the "cat and mouse game" a little because it didn't take long for Lindsay to find her again.  Rita was smarter this time and always stayed right out of Lindsay's reach.  It was really funny to watch.

Lindsay was able to seek out Roxy at one point in time today.  Roxy likes to hide on the chairs under the dining room table.  It is a great place for her since she is black and can camouflage herself well.  Lindsay still managed to see her and chase her down.  I didn't see the whole incident, but Lindsay ended up with a scratch on one hand and a fistful of fur in the other.  I think Roxy sought refuge in my moms room for the rest of the day.

I hope Lindsay learned her lesson about how to handle the cats, otherwise its going to be a very long week!  I can hear her now, "Here kitty cat, kitty cat come here!"
