More Mayo

Today I really wanted to sleep in since I spent way to much time on the computer last night!  No such luck.  Courtney had her 2 month appointment today at 9:30.  It was really at 10, but I have them write it down early or I won't get there on time.  Sad I know, but at least I know my weakness.

I got there early today, a first for me!  Then I realized why I was always late, no matter when you show up you always have to wait... forever.  I figured we would be home and in bed for nap time by 10:45.  We weren't home until after 11.  What do doctors do in their offices??  I'm beginning to think they have masseuses, an ice cream fountain or a really comfy bed.  Its got to be something good because they are always hanging out in there while I'm lugging my small people and their stuff up and down the long hallways.

Courtney weighed in at 12 lbs 11 ozs, 24 1/4 in long.  My little heifer has gained almost a pound a week since our last visit two weeks ago!  I have good milk!  The doctor informed me that I was lacking in vitamin D.  I guess that wasn't specific to me, but to all breast feeding mothers.  I'm supposed to supplement her until she is older and able to get enough vitamin D solely from her own food intake.  I'm trying to figure out why I need to do this when I turned out so well and my mom didn't supplement me.  Oh how times have changed.

Lindsay likes to go to the doctor now that she isn't on the receiving end of all the attention.  She really enjoys watching Courtney get poked and prodded.  Courtney takes it all so well, maybe Lindsay will learn from her.
