Graduation

Eric is officially out of kindergarten! Hello 1st grade! I was talking to him about starting 1st grade and that maybe some of the kids from the other kindergarten class would be in his first grade class, not a good topic. He is convinced that his class of 15 boys and 5 girls will stay that way forever. I am a huge believer in positive thinking, but this is taking it a bit far... Good luck!

The promotion ceremony was very cute. They sang songs, I can't remember most of them, but "We wish you a merry christmas" was one. I thought how odd to sing that song in May, but they all knew it well and sang VERY loudly. Each teacher gave their class their certificates, which then became distractions. Its a good thing they sang first!

We got lots of photos and deleted lots! I was having issues taking pictures from so far away. The zoom is great, but it makes blurry photos if anything is moving... great time to figure this out! I'm still looking for a great camera, I'm beginning to think it needs to come with its own photographer. This one needs lots of training.

Eric is convinced that anytime you graduate you get a present. We tried to explain, you aren't really graduating, just being promoted. Your graduation will happen in the 6th grade when you leave Vinewood. We might as well have been talking to a rock. Its a good thing Grandma came through with a fantastic present! A new hockey bag to tote all of his stuff in. Thank you Grandma! Congratulations Eric!
