I grew up thinking that Memorial Day was a family get together day, it was a fun filled day with food, swimming and no school! I looked forward to it every year. Now that I am older I have a much better understanding of the day. It is a day filled with a limitless choices, freedom and a grateful heart. I'm lucky enough to have a job that allows me to spend time with our military men and women. I have had many experiences that range from happy, sad, somber, exhaustion to ecstatic... all within a few hours. I find my job to be very rewarding and a great service. I don't do anything special, just make sure they are comfortable while they are under my care and hopefully give them a few smiles. Its the least I can do for these brave people who keep me free and safe.
Thank you for your service, thank you for your bravery. Keep up the good work! We are thinking about you and love you!
