Over!

Lindsay has been very irritable and Justin said she was burning up. I took her temperature, which is a feat in itself, and she was 100.6 in one ear and 100.7 in the other. I like to check both ears to make sure I'm getting a good read. She wiggles and squirms so much I never know if the thermometer stayed in her ear.

Now that we officially knew she felt yucky I called Dr. Mom. I am so glad that my mom and the other moms I call have so much parenting experience. They are able to diagnose over the phone! Saves me $10. My mom was unavailable for some reason, so I continued down the list to Holley. I told her Lindsay's temperature was a hundred and six. I interrupt that as 100.6, Holley understood 106. She got all excited and said get her to the hospital NOW!

I didn't think 2 degrees was any reason to rush her to the hospital. Holley was getting bumped down the Dr. Mom list! After I questioned such a drastic measure, we got on the same page and came up with a new plan. Holley talked to my mom, who was available now, and they both said Tylenol and Motrin. Holley double checked with her pediatrician who verified the dose. Let's hope Lindsay feels better in the morning. If not, we do have our 6 month check-up tomorrow anyway.

On an Olympic note, I love the women's beach volleyball! What a great sport. Maybe I just like the May-Treanor/ Walsh team... they are fabulous! I think its so sweet that Walsh wears her wedding ring during all of her games. I'm glad they were able to find her ring after it got lost in the sand. The inscription is "six feet of sunshine", its what her husband thought of her the day they met. I can only imagine what Justin would come up with for me!
