Eric started 3rd grade today! We went to the school last night to see who his teacher was and what other kids were in his class. He was bummed that he didn't get the teacher he wanted. I told him she might have retired, he said she didn't... what do I know?! There is one 3rd grade class and one 3/4 combo. Eric got the 3rd only class! He was bummed because some of his good buddies from last year weren't in his class again and some girls he didn't like were. The troubles of an 8 year old!
After school started Justin and I were talking to a friend in front of the school. She told me the teacher Eric wanted did end up retiring, she wasn't planning on it but changed her mind... I guess money spoke to her :) She also said Eric's new teacher is awesome! She used to be a 6th grade GATE teacher. I like that she has taught other grades and different types of students. It makes me feel like she is adaptable to students and their needs.
